Tein T.S. Jack-Rich is a distinguished entrepreneur, humanitarian, and philanthropist who has played a transformative role in Nigeria’s energy sector, as well as building the right microeconomic bridge through his inroad in Fintech. As the President and Founder of Belemaoil Producing, he pioneered the first indigenous oil exploration and production company from an oil-producing community in the Niger Delta. His leadership has propelled Belemaoil from a modest startup into a multi-billion-dollar enterprise, expanding Nigeria’s hydrocarbon value chain and increasing market share in record time.
With over 30 years of experience in the upstream oil and gas sector, Jack-Rich is a strategic thinker and an advocate for economic diversification and industrialization. He successfully installed Africa’s first cryogenic plant and Liquefied Petroleum Gas Fractionating facility in Nigeria, setting a precedent in the continent’s energy sector. His expertise spans energy infrastructure, financial technology, and macroeconomic policy, with a strong emphasis on renewable energy integration for sustainable economic growth.
Beyond business, Jack-Rich is committed to social impact and national development. Through his Belema Aid Foundation, where he provided over 1,500 scholarships, established potable water projects, built schools, hospitals, and empowered thousands of Nigerian youths and women with start-up grants and vocational training. His dedication to economic inclusion and human capital development has earned him national and international recognition, including the Commander of the Order of the Niger (CON) by Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari in 2022.
Jack-Rich’s commitment to leadership and innovation is reflected in his academic pursuits at world-renowned institutions, including Harvard Kennedy School, MIT, Stanford University, and Cambridge University, where he has undertaken executive education in economic growth, strategy, and financial innovation. He holds an Executive MBA from Georgetown University, alongside degrees in petroleum engineering, business administration, and human resource management.
A firm believer in Africa’s economic renaissance, Jack-Rich champions policies that foster industrialization, trade expansion, and sustainable energy development. His leadership philosophy is rooted in creating shared value, ensuring that businesses serve both economic and societal needs. Jack-Rich’s vision for a prosperous Nigeria made him one of the presidential candidates of Nigeria’s ruling party, the All-Progressive Congress, in the 2022 APC Presidential primaries where the current Nigerian President emerged as the Party’s flagbearer and eventually won the presidential election.
Jack-Rich continues to inspire the next generation of African leaders through his commitment to business excellence, innovation, and philanthropy.
He is now building young African engineers to develop affordable technologies to promote financial access to low-income earners in the financial technology space in Nigeria and Africa, to champion microeconomic prosperity through digital financial inclusion for the underbanked and unbanked.
