Sophia Nimi Obinna is a seasoned Banking and Finance Professional with over 16 years’ experience in the industry. She possesses extensive knowledge in banking, having held various positions, including roles in operations covering customer -centric service delivery and relationship management.. Before joining IGMFB, she was the Head of Operations for ASO Savings and Loans, a position she held for over 10 years cumulatively.

Sophia has a passion for excellence and creative problem-solving skills and in her capacity as Head of Operations, she collaborated closely with other departments, including Treasury Operations, Marketing, Technology Implementation, Control, and Regulatory Compliance. In addition to her operational expertise, Sophia has undertaken key roles in project management, technology transformation, and policy formulation. Sophia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Banking and Finance from Rivers State University
